The general objectives of The Intangible Patrimony Management Unit are:

1. To foster the development of intellectual property through workshops, classes, and training processes.
2. To promote and to highlight the benefits of researching, development and innovation among the University academic units by providing the necessary advice.
3. To promote the cooperation with other universities of the country or abroad, especially those that are part of the South Common Market (Spanish acronym: MERCOSUR) with the public and private sector.
4. To support the spreading of the investigation results, especially through the computing media of the University.
5. To motivate and to ease the protection of the new generated knowledge to benefit the creators, the University and the general public.
